It is obvious that the OST's investigative journalist is not an experienced, hard-bitten hack but a visionary commentator who has not yet found his/her/its full voice. The journalist is obviously responding to this piece of news about Rosslyn losing the race for the tallest skyscraper http://greatergreaterwashington.org/post/18803/tysons-corner-skyscraper-will-be-regions-tallest/

and is hoping for this fertile cradle of civilization to look back and celebrate its great history and contributions rather than heedlessly expand and destroyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2546196795088050428.post-15906282128422020572013-05-08T21:51:46.831-04:002013-05-08T21:51:46.831-04:00The Ode Street Tribune has stood up to the massive...The Ode Street Tribune has stood up to the massive multinational Cargill Corporation. The OST won't be intimidated by threats from "various secret agents." The point about counting the bricks is insightful. This story is mostly speculation. There are tons of possibilities -- for example, the mason who laid the bricks could have been an enemy agent and these brick could have been a secret signal to another secret agent. By counting the bricks in a particular manner one might be able to decipher a secret address when blueprints to a secret government project were stored for transfer to the second secret agent. By publishing this story, the OST might be opening itself up to retaliation by various secret agents. We love the OST and we do not want to see it done in some annoyed secret agent. Great work OST. Better increase your investigative reporter's pay or he may be lured away by Fox News.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
