new garden in Ft. Myer Heights Park


The garden came about from Steve Campbell's park enhancement grant. Steve provided this info on the plants in the garden:
Most of the plants that you see already in the ground are two types of shrubby dogwoods (one is red osier, I believe). There are two plants commonly called 'nine bark', and one witch hazel (the furthest to the right (west)).

Additional plants will be going into the garden. It's never too early to start thinking about spring.
