beat reporter given day off
The Ode Street Tribune's publisher, acting against the strenuous objections of its managing editor, department editors, and associated sub-editors, has decided to give the Tribune's reporter the day off. He will be back to work tomorrow.

Taking time off without giving adequate prior notice and without making arrangements for a temporary replacement, seems to show a lack of concern for the readers of the Ode Street Tribune. The public has come to rely on the ever vigilant reporting staff of the Ode Street Tribune to keep us informed as to what is happening in Arlington and elsewhere. Hopefully we will be able to make it through the day until the staff of the Ode Street Tribune returns
