cut back


If cutting back is good for shrubs, it might be good for us, too.

Hi Doug,
The technique used on the pictured crape myrtle is sarcastically referred to as crape 'murder'. It is not recommended, but they are very vigorous shrubs and the practice is widespread (see the Natl Gallery of Art, US Commerce Dept,e.g.
