Kevin Krapf's participatory exhibit, Retratos Compartidos/Shared Portraits, has been at Artisphere for only a week, yet it has already attracted some marvelous portrait contributions from visitors. The exhibit provides paper, colored markers, and shared portrait drawing-stations so that visitors can easily create portraits of each other. Imagine the couple that made of each other the above two portraits!
The variety of styles and the expressiveness of the portraits testifies to the artistic talent in the Rosslyn neighborhood. The above portrait seems to capture the expression live from the the partner's face.
Kevin Krapf will chose some of the portraits to serve as the inspiration for paintings that he will continually add to the exhibit.
By yourself or with friends, add your creativity to Retratos Compartidos/Shared Portraits at Artisphere.
