Stooges Brass Band and Black Masala return to Rosslyn's Artisphere

The Stooges Brass Band shook up Rosslyn and blew out the demons two years ago at Rosslyn's Artisphere. The band is back this Saturday with Black Masala for what's sure to be a sellout show. Get your tickets right now for the bargain price of $15. The Stooges Brass Band is a national quality attraction:

Emerging on the scene in 1996, Stooges Brass Band gained notoriety for delivering full-blown musical parties that are deeply rooted in the culturally rich musical legacy of New Orleans. They have shared the stage with artists like Black Star (Mos Def and Talib Kweli), Jessica Simpson, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and performed at elite music festivals such as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo, South by Southwest and the American Folk Festival. The Stooges Brass Band have also served as U.S. cultural ambassadors, hired to perform in Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to engage new audiences with their innovative blend of traditional New Orleans brass sounds, contemporary jazz and hip-hop beats. Most recently, the band’s music was featured on the soundtrack for Will Smith’s new film Focus.

Rosslyn's Artisphere is now an established venue for major touring bands. If there's some great act that you want to see, you should be able to see it at Rosslyn's Artisphere in coming years. But don't wait another two years for another chance to see Stooges Brass Brand at Artisphere.
