Rosslyn from airplane

Photo taken on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at 10:21 am from Delta Air Lines Flight 6339 operated by COMAIR INC (on Canadair Regional Jet), taking off from Reagan National and flying north. A Canadair Region Jet has 50 to 76 seats (depending on model).   Planes flying over Rosslyn create noise.   Encourage people taking flights to take pictures of Rosslyn and send them to the Ode Street Tribune.  A little photo-journalism should help the FAA to enforce its rules.

Did the editor take that photo?
Shouldn't the Ode Street Tribune give the source of photos it presents

Who took the photo is not relevant. The Ode Street Tribune does not burden its readers with worthless verbal baggage.

Unfortunately the editor has failed to recognize a fundamental element of human communication. Humans are blessed with intelligence, hence, each time we receive a piece of information, the first thing that our brain does is to evaluate the source of the information. For example, if our brain receives an image of a car crash, the first thing that our brain does is to evaluate whether the image was from a TV screen or a picture of if the image was from the actual event that occurred. The reaction that the brain generates depends upon what the brain decides is the source of the image. Likewise with a news photo, the first thing that the brain does is to evaluate the source of the photo. Was the photo from a reliable source and thus should it be believed. Alternatively was the photo from a source that "has an axe to grind" and thus should be taken with a grain of salt. I sincerely hope that in the future the editor will give the source of photos presented in the Ode Street Times, thus maintaining the high journalistic standard that legions of readers have come to expect from the Ode Street Times.

Ok, Douglas Galbi took that photo. He is the Ode Street Tribune's top-ranked reporter. We have complete confidence in his reliability and integrity. He does not grind axes.

Thank you for giving the source of the photo. It is wonderful to see that the editor of the Ode Street times is responsive to the concerns its readers. Keep up the good work.
