RAFOM annual meeting celebrates Rosslyn style

At its thirteenth annual meeting tonight, the Radnor/Ft. Myer Heights Civic Association (RAFOM) celebrated activities that help make Rosslyn great.  Our U.S. Senator Jim Webb, the featured speaker, told how he and his staff worked for 16 months to enact a GI Bill with benefits as good as the GI Bill enacted after World War II. As a leading gateway to Arlington National Cemetery, Rosslyn appreciates servicepersons' sacrifices. RAFOM President Stan Karson noted RAFOM's continuing involvement in the  2012 Rosslyn Sector Plan Addendum and site plan review for the upcoming Rosslyn Plaza project.  RAFOM Vice-President Patricia Darneille reviewed last December's Holiday Fiesta for low-income neighbors.  The community policing team, local restaurants, and RAFOM members work together to make this an excellent neighborhood event.  Ms. Darneille was wearing a lovely long dress with lime-and-white-on-black artistic patterning.   She thus helped to re-affirm Rosslyn's stylistic eminence.
