be a Bold snow-removal hero

Last year, our neighbor Bold heroically built a snow shovel and used it to shovel the walk of his apartment complex. Arlington County is encouraging others to follow Bold's example:

The County applauds residents and proprietors who clear sidewalks to help neighbors and customers. Providing clear, safe pedestrian routes is essential to ensuring access to jobs, schools and services for all in a walkable community like Arlington. The County asks for everyone, as able, to lend a hand to neighbors and friends. Especially think about your elderly or disabled neighbors, who cannot clear their own sidewalks.

You can register online through Arlington Volunteer Connection to help neighbors who need snow-clearing assistance. Of course, the best help is warm weather and sunshine.  So far, quite good.
