surveillance camera in Rosslyn?

This strange pole, which appears to hold a camera and a spot light, is located in Rosslyn on Wilson Blvd, just up from the Lynn St. intersection.   The camera appears to be aimed at the intersection.  The Ode Street Tribune's Investigative Division has been assigned to ascertain the pole's function.  Does anyone know what the pole does?

I believe it's a red light camera. If you run a red light it will take a photo of your license plate and you'll get a ticket in the mail. Saw it in action the other day when it flashed just as a car was trying to make the yellow light.

I also heard they were adding cameras to the intersections near the Key bridge.
