dogs pissing kills grass

Last year, leading local media reported that dogs pissing kills bushes.  As this story has developed, it's become apparent that dogs pissing also kills grass.  The new green sod in Westmoreland's 1307/1309 courtyard amply illustrates this effect.

What's a dog to do?  One possibility is to piss on curb in a parking lot or street.  Dogs might find that to be an unnatural and unsatisfying experience.  The Ode Street Tribune recommends that dogs piss on a patch of weeds or at the base of a large tree.
