Ft. Myers Heights Park, which is next to the majestic Westmoreland Terrace Condominiums in lovely Rosslyn, is slowly recovering from this past winter's tragic Deep Soil Rosslyn Water Spill. About two weeks ago a county work crew spread hay over the damaged ground. Some grass is now starting to poke up through the covering hay.

- Jan. 29: A broken water main begins sending massive amounts of clean water across the park
- Feb. 2: Temporary repairs fail, and water begins to gush forth again
- Feb. 8: The depth of the break hinders repair efforts. Large equipment is brought to the site.
- Feb. 9: Heroic efforts finally plug the blowout.
